Question of the day among my cube mates:

If you are an invited guest to someone's house, not necessarily for dinner, is it OK to bring your own cup of Starbucks coffee with you as you enter?

This is based on an actual scenario, and the question is Starbucks specific. However I think I'll extend the question to any BYOCoffee situation. This includes the travel mug I took to my sister's brunch over the weekend, that now I think should have remained in the car.
